T. Michael “Mike” Day – Creative Director / Designer and General Manager
T. Michael ” Mike” Day is the creative director/designer and General Manager for MAX KING EVENTS based out of Orlando, Florida, and is enjoying some 40 years in successful special events and event production.
Transitioning from a high profile career as a professional musician, Mike stepped into the event side by chance as he created specialty floats and props for the 1976 Orange Bowl Half-time show for NBC television. Beyond the musical scores he arranged for the King Orange Jamboree Parade and NBC , he was asked to design a couple of parade floats. The ball started rolling from there and transitioned into evening galas and specialty themed props.
Today, he oversees what he calls “24,000 square feet of possibilities”, a warehouse “packed to the gills” with unique, innovative, and inventive décor concepts and designs, with more and more coming off the drawing board!

Jessica Callahan- Senior Account Manager / Assistant General Manager
Originally from Weston, Florida, Jessica has always known she would be the perfect fit for the hospitality industry, leading her to Orlando to pursue a degree in Event Management at the University of Central Florida.
She stumbled upon Max King Events when she was searching for an internship opportunity, and after a year completed all three of her required internships with our crazy company! After graduation the MKE team couldn’t bear the thought of losing Jessica, so we decided to officially add her to Max King Events team. After two years of being full time at MKE she is now the Senior Account Manager/Assistant General Manager. Jessica has a true passion for planning and executing events with a creative and positive approach.
Savannah Slawson – Sales and Marketing Coordinator
Savannah Slawson, our Sales and Marketing Coordinator is originally from Ormond Beach, FL. She moved to Orlando to pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management at UCF’s Rosen College.
She is very passionate about the meetings and events industry. She has experience working with a variety of events, which is why her diversity will be great for Max King! She is an active member of MPI, where she serves on the Special Events Committee and assists planning member events as well. Savannah is outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative, and looks forward to growing in the industry beginning here with Max King Events!
