Max King Events and sister company, the Heaven Event Center, “rocked” the industry with the “Rock the Heavens” event on June 19th. 300 event and hospitality professionals came to experience the Heaven Event Center’s newest expansion, rock and roll decor from MKE, and many fun offerings from 17 of Orlando’s talented vendors. The event transitioned from a soothing jazz lounge for networking at the beginning of the night to a high-energy rock room ready to WOW and entertain the guests later into the evening!
A 14′ high over-sized Boom Box, complete with custom titled graphics, greeted the guests as they walked through the entrance doors of the Heaven Event Center. As the guests were checking in, they received a raffle ticket for a customized “Rock the Heavens” Fender Squier guitar, complete with a “Mikey” cartoon designed by MKE Creative Director, Mike Day. Wise Guys InterACTive Entertainment sponsored a John Lennon “Dead Ringer” to provide a “blast-from-the-past” dose of improv and entertainment, while a choosy “bouncer” playfully teased guests as they walked through the roped-off door into the jazz lounge.
Heaven Event Center’s new expansion was transformed into a trendy jazz lounge for the evening with low lighting and funky decor. MKE’s 10′ wide piano bar played host to Millenia Catering’s signature cocktail, the Bellini. The delicious beverage paired perfectly with the elegantly passed hors d’oeuvres of Deviled Quail Egg Canapes, Duck Confit Bouchees, and Mini Crab Cakes, provided by Montage Catering. A piano key overlay dressed up their action station display of Roasted Garlic Spinach Artichoke Dip and Holuptsi.
Over the Top Linens graciously provided fun animal print linens, with accents of red and black, to dress the cocktail tables and furniture groupings. Jazz Attack’s Zazu Quartet was exceptional entertainment for the lounge-vibe of the first space, setting a spirited mood and ambient background to the attendee networking.
Later in the evening, the double doors opened into the Heaven Event Center’s main space themed as a full-blown rock and roll party! Our 21′ electric red Ultimate Axe buffet served as the perfect functional space for Cocktails Catering to provide their pasta station, as well plenty of room for the wine service and sangria specialty drink. Swag Decor added a creative twist to drape installation by pairing mesh with a starlight drape behind the food station, with red accent uplighting.
MKE premiered our brand new 19′ long heavy-metal Warlock Buffet that was utilized by Creations Catering & Events, whom served assorted flat bread pizzas and their signature drink, appropriately titled “Purple Haze”! An Organic Micro-Brew beer tap, presented in an attractive fridge/freezer set up with the taps attached for dispensing, made for the perfect beverage dispenser without the mess of foam and ice! Following the theme, Millenia Catering served delectable sliders, beer soup shooters, and sides from two guitar table tops, backed with our large 6′ high by 8′ wide amplifier prop!
Entertainment partner T.Skorman Productions offered their amazing AllStar Rock Live act, a combination of a great band, karaoking guests and an interactive DJ, that served as a non-stop party atmosphere all night long! PopNoggins provided the audio visual support for AllStar Rock Live’s performance. Throughout the evening, brave guests signed up to sing their hearts out in front of their colleagues with the support of the talented band performers. Each time someone karaoked, they would earn an additional raffle ticket to win the custom guitar!
So Cool Events arranged various furniture groupings in both spaces, including their eccentric red collection, white island banquette, black, red, and white cross cocktail tables, and lowback bar stools. MKE supplied functional decor, such as our drum set cocktail seating elements, for additional seating to compliment the overall look. Our brand new Autograph Guitar was debuted so the attendees could “make their mark” on the event!
The “Rock the Heavens” event was also the debut of the new sleek bridal lounge space, transformed into a dessert and photo booth room for the networker! Our Photobooth Rocks, set up a fun and interactive photo booth display for the guests to create their very own memento! TooJay’s Original Gourmet Deli served various dessert trays to satisfy each of the guest’s sweet cravings.
In case the cakes and cookies weren’t enough, Ice Cream Social Club installed a custom dessert trailer outside the Heaven Event Center for guests to enjoy various ice cream flavors and choose-your-own toppings!
