We jump at any opportunity when our events benefit children. Our team has had the privilege to collaborate with volunteers from St. James Cathedral School in downtown Orlando for the past 5 years on crazy themes for their annual gala. This year they chose one of our favorites…Rock n Roll! We dubbed the event “Rock the Heavens”, and the kids had a ball contributing to the overall design!
Our HUGE Boombox entry was a WOW introduction to the event, complete with the red carpet touch. We even branded the “handle” with the event title to truly set the stage for what was to come for the evening. In order to properly thank the sponsors, we created a routed guitar shape sign and applied logo decals of each of the sponsors to be set next to the entry walk-through.
We completely transformed the school gym into an evening fit for any rock star! We created a fun seating display in the middle of the space with our eventive guitar bench seating groupings, complete with animal print stools & pick cocktail tables, and branded drum set seating arrangements!
A duo of our brand new 12′ guitar replicas were set back to back to add a decorative touch to the truss tower supporting 2 lighting instruments projecting music-themed gobos on the wall!
There was no shortage of themed food displays and bar surrounds at the event! We utilized 3 of our guitar buffets, including the stunning gold Les Paul buffet, and 3 guitar bar surrounds, each with a very different look. We even pulled out our RED HOT piano food station for an extra touch of awesome!
The stage design incorporated 2 oversized guitar necks flanking a center assembly of “criss cross” guitars. A diamond plate and flame surround was created to house all of the unsightly DJ equipment.
One of the most creative aspects of the events incorporated the children’s guitar designs they each conceptualized. Every student submitted their creations, and a winning design was chosen to represent each grade. Then, with help from the art teacher, the designs came to life for each of the winning designs as custom oversized guitars!
This was such a fun event, once again, and we are so glad the children had fun with the design! Looking forward to next year!
