Every year we help support the Rosen College of Hospitality student produced fundraiser, Cabaret & Cabernet’s, and this year was no exception. This year it was a James Bond theme with each of the different rooms around campus representing one of the James Bond movies.
Guests began their evening by entering the auditorium through our Tunnel Entry. The brushed aluminum tunnel with sleek black trim was lined with illuminating sequential lighting on the inside walls and was topped with a flashing beacon light. It was the perfect entry for guests to start their mission!
The Rolls Royce Car Bar was conveniently used as a registration desk for guest check in. The yellow-gold painted car front featured real working headlights and a durable glass top. It was the perfect way to greet the attendees to the James Bond inspired event.
The Café was recreated to match the Casino Royale theme where guests could enjoy fun games and entertainment. Our Card Arches framed large white curtains featuring shadow dancers. A large card set was placed in the middle to create an attractive focal point. Oversized martini glasses were also utilized throughout the room as centerpieces.
In the Disney Dining Room, four large silver spiral columns were set in tiered heights and were lined up along the back of the stage. This room had a saxophone player and a fun photo booth.
An inner-lit gold torchiere was placed outside the door of a classroom that helped introduce the Gold Finger themed room. The torchiere was topped with glitz-stick fans to create a perfect décor enhancement.
It was great being a part of this student produced event that helps raise money for the school. The students really take it seriously, act like professionals, and create an awesome event. Can’t wait to see what next years theme will be!
