For this years annual Mears holiday party it was a Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree theme. With a mix of rock and 50’s decor…this theme was brought to life and completely transformed the tent. Once the employees and their family arrive to the site, they were greeted with our Truss Entry bearing a custom ribbon with the title “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” displayed across the top. To complete the look to the entry, accent garland, oversized ornaments, and musical instruments were displayed along the truss.
Upon entering the tent, our 12’ high guitars were sited at the three main center poles of the tent to create the most impressive ambiance. They were placed back-to-back so that the poles were completely concealed by decor. To tie in the theme to each guitar, a ribbon with a popular Christmas song title was wrapped along the neck of the guitars.
With it being a retro rock n’ roll Christmas we had to use our “Shoo-Bop” Soda Shop façade as the perfect stage backdrop to complete the look of the whole event. To add the Christmas touch, they incorporated various ornaments, garland, and a fully decorated Christmas tree to the facade.
Two simple photo stations for the attendees were created for this event. The first photo station was with our awesome black and red caddie couch flanked with an oversized Pepsi bottle and a guitar pick hi-boy. The second station was created with two impressive 9’ high guitar necks displayed with another guitar pick hi-boy.
Opposing the photo stations were their activity corners, one of which displayed our oversized music notes as part of their backdrop to the face painting station.
As an added touch to their dessert station, we used our oversized ice cream cones and displayed them atop an oversized toy drum as the buffet centerpiece.
We had to find more ways to add guitars to the mix for this theme and our 9’ high guitars were perfect! These are normally used for our Guitar Bars, however, we can utilize them as stand alone pieces that are just as impressive! Our Fender Jaguar Guitar was placed by the DJ Booth, and the Fender Strat was displayed as a marker for the activity station.
The MKE team always has a great time setting up for their annual parties, and with it being one of our favorite holiday themes we definitely had a blast putting this event together!
